According to the information available, a post stating “I am ending my life” was shared from Vikas Samudre’s Facebook account. After seeing the post, several fans attempted to alert the police. Recognising the seriousness of the situation, the Mumbai Police and Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Cyber Department Bajrang Bansode immediately contacted Samudre and reached him.
After establishing contact with the actor, police sought to ascertain exactly what had happened. Following the developments, it emerged that Vikas Samudre had not made any attempt to harm himself. According to the police, Samudre said that the post had been published because of a typing mistake.
The Facebook post and the error in it had left his fans deeply worried. Police moved Vikas Samudre to a safe location, while the Mumbai Police’s swift and alert response was praised.
